Start guide

Set up Fluidwork, bring in issues, create a timeline, and share it for review.

Outcome

Use this guide when you are opening Fluidwork for the first time and want to get from an empty workspace to a reviewable plan.

Applies to

Workspace members who plan work, coordinate delivery, or prepare timelines for external review.

Before you start

  • Make sure you are signed in and have selected the right organization.
  • Decide whether your first plan should start from Linear issues, a CSV import, or local planning issues.
  • Invite teammates before review if they need to edit the plan with you.

Steps

  1. Open Workspace and complete the setup prompts.
  2. Open Issues and bring in work from Linear, CSV, or local issues.
  3. Open Timelines and create a timeline for the plan.
  4. Place issues on the timeline and adjust dates until the plan reflects the expected sequence.
  5. Add dependencies for work that must happen in order.
  6. Use Reviews or the timeline share controls to share a live timeline or snapshot.

What happens next

Fluidwork becomes the planning layer around your issue data. Keep issue details current, revisit timeline risks from Today, and resolve review notes as feedback comes in.

Troubleshooting

If Linear data does not appear, open the Linear sync article. If a reviewer cannot open a link, check the review access article before sending a new invite.
